Dental Infection

Dental Infection Medical Condition

A dental infection is caused by an infection within or below a tooth which has been compromised by decay or being broken. This then causes the pulp of the tooth to become infected. This infection spreads throughout the tooth and into the blood vessels, connective tissue and nerves. Many dental infections form an abscess. If left untreated, a dental infection can lead to serious life-threatening illness or death.
